I apologise for the delay in writing to you to thank you for a fabulously organised holiday.
My husband and I enjoyed a two week trip to Jordan in May and June and found it to be fantastic. You did indeed plan a wonderful itinery for us, right from meeting us as we embarked from the plane at Queen Alia Airport, to the choices of hotels – The Dead Sea Ishtar was incredible, as was the hotel in Aqaba – and the organization of the tours.
A special mention to our driver Jihad, he was really great and went out of his way to be helpful. We would give him a very glowing endorsement.
THank you again for a wonderful holiday – we shall definatly return to Jordan again for a few days when we visit Syria or Lebanon in the future.

We’re back home after a great holiday and I just wanted to thank you and everybody at Jordan Direct for helping to make our time in Jordan fantastic. Your country is absolutely breath-taking and we thoroughly enjoyed everything.
The tour was very well organised and we really have nothing to complain about. I found Coral Bay as good as the Dead Sea Spa if not better, but my mom thought the Spa was the best. The breakfasts were great everywhere.
As said, there were absolutely no hitches. We especially want to thank you for Ibrahim our driver. And would like to ask that you convey our thanks to him. Ibrahim was very courteous and respectful towards us old ladies and also had a great sense of humour. His English was very good and there were no communication problems. He was always a few minutes early for our morning departures and did his absolute best to make us as comfortable as possible. We really thought that he should be commended not only for the way he handled the blow-out but also for being a real sweety (he probably won’t like that comment ;-).
Please thank everybody on our behalf, but especially Ibrahim. I actually missed him the first day or two in Israel 😉
Of the two countries, I think I liked Jordan better. Your countrymen were not as friendly as South Africans, but then Jordan has an entirely different cultural and religious background. But everybody we encountered were really very helpful. We were quite “shocked” at people stopping for us to cross the street in Amman!! They could probably see that it was our first day in Jordan because we struggled to cross the busy roads a few blocks away from the San Rock. We drive on the other side of the road in South Africa and we have robots everywhere, so the traffic was a bit confusing to us. Numerous drivers waited for us to cross and we were really surprised by that. But, I must haste to add that driving in Jordan is crazy!!! 🙂
There are so much more to say, but I’ll stick with a comment on the beauty of the people. We thought that Jordanians are very good-looking people ;-).
With that, I’d like to thank everybody at Jordan Direct again for the very professional way that you handled everything. It was really great dealing with you guys and I will definitely highly recommend you to others. I will also be posting an e-mail on tripadvisor.com to recommend you to other travellers to Jordan. If I win the lotto, I’d like to visit Jordan again and would definitely use your services again.
If possible, please convey our thanks to Ibrahim again and send him our regards. I tried to send him an SMS from Israel to say thank you, but I’m not sure if it went through. As mentioned, please also thank him on our behalf because he was a crucial part of our tour.

Very sorry not to have been in touch until now – have been very occupied computer processing over 1200 photographs as very shortly I have to give an illustrated talk on the trip to our local community.
This is just to say that we had a most enjoyable trip – thank you for the excellent arrangements. Please also thank Awni for his very good chauffering and company. We can’t remember the name of our Syrian driver but he also was very good – particularly his manoevering through the narrow alleys of old Damascus. With one exception, all the hotels were very well chosen – our favourite was the Movenpick in Aqaba. The exception was the Mirage in Aleppo where although our room was fine, we thought the facilities certainly did not justify its 4* rating – a very uncomfortably furnished lounge/bar area and poor food. It was, however, well located and had the advantage of an ATM on the premises.
Overall, an excellent trip. Many thanks again.

I did indeed have a pleasant flight back – I got home from Hong Kong on Sunday night.
Our time in Jordan was wonderful, both Cath and I thought it to be a wonderful country, exceptionally beautiful and the friendliest people – in other words, we loved it!
A special word about or driver Ammar – he really made our trip extra special, what a lovely man. He was exactly what I had hoped for, he made us laugh, respected our privacy, and was a mine of information about Jordan – I cannot imagine the vacation without him – please convey my kindest regards and thanks again to him.
A couple of comments – I thought the Moevenpick at the dead sea to be exceptional – why do you not use that same hotel group in Aqaba (the intercontinental was fine if a bit big and impersonal)?
I will not hesitate to refer you to anyone else I know who is planning a trip to Jordan.

This is just a short email to thank you for organising the tour and transportation, during our brief visit to your wonderful country.
All the arrangements ran smoothly from our airport arrival to our subsequent departure.
Mohammed, our driver, was punctual, pleasant and knowledgeable. His insightful suggestions were invaluable, and the odd extras such as the local bread ‘straight from the oven’ and the melon on the Dead Sea Highway were experiences one would not get on a package tour, and much appreciated.
We would recommend your company without hesitation – and will do, to all our friends in Abu Dhabi!
In closing I would say that as 2 women travelling alone, at no time did we feel at all threatened or compromised – either by Jordan’s country security systems or by the local people – they were without exception, charming and pleasant and we cannot wait to return and spend more time in Jordan.

I just wanted to send you a note of thanks. We are all back in Ireland since last night and very sorry to be home, even though the sun is shining here.
The tour was better than we had expected, it was very well run and organised and Salamed was always early to collect us and made our long car drives very entertaining. Please pass on my personal thanks to him, especially for the food stops for falafel, k’naffy and other Jordanian delights he introduced us to.
We loved everything we did, and have only know realised how, ever after ten days, we have only scratched the surface of Jordan. I can say that I have no doubt that we will be back again & in the meanwhile we have some fantastic photographs to remind us of our holiday. Our trip was very special in many ways – we laughed in the Dead Sea, loved camping in Wadi Rum (amazing sunset), didn’t want to leave Petra & we really enjoyed the sun, sea and sand in Aqaba for the last few days.

It was a pleasure to finally meet you on April 2, when we were in your office briefly that morning. Thank you again for all you did to make all the arrangements which made our tour very memorable. We loved both the Crowne Plaza in Petra and the Movenpick Dead Sea Resort (we wish we had more time at the Dead Sea!).
While the sunset and drive through the desert was most memorable, personally, I would not recommend camping in Wadi Rum (maybe we are getting too old!) I should have listened to your first suggestion just to take the tour and see the sunset and then go to the hotel for the night.

It has been very hard to settle back into normal life after our wonderful visit to Jordan but I am finally catching up with things again and now have time to write.
Thank you very much for organising such a great trip – we enjoyed every minute of it and everything went so smoothly. Mansour was an excellent driver and we really enjoyed his company for the trip. He was very friendly, helpful and made us feel like VIP’s! We particularly loved the two visits to his favourite sweet shop in downtown Amman! I had high expectations of the places we would visit but was surprised to find that they were even better than I expected! In particular the Dead Sea, Wadi Rum and the town of Aqaba were much more enjoyable than I had anticipated.
Of the many highlights, these stand out:
• The Roman columns and Jordanian soldiers playing the bagpipes in Jerash
• The light and views whilst floating in the Dead Sea (the swimming pools at the Kempenski were pretty amazing too)
• An early morning walk up to the high places of sacrifice in Petra with 40 minutes on top before anyone else arrived (we paid an extra 10 JD for a two day pass – you may want to suggest this idea to future guests as there is still a lot to do without a guide)
• The moonlit star filled night in Wadi Rum (the champagne worked out very well too thanks!)
• Walking around Aqaba in the evening amongst the Jordanian families out enjoying their holiday
• The general friendliness of almost everyone we encountered. Staying in 5 star hotels obviously helped, but it did feel very genuine.
This barely scratches the surface, many more examples are popping into my head but I would be here all day if I wrote them all down.
In fact, we enjoyed it so much; we want to go back to the Middle East next Easter. Thanks again for organising such a great trip and please say hello to Mansour from us.

Some feedback on our recent trip:
Mansur was a friendly and efficient driver – with some terrible jokes! Please thank him again and let him know the olive oil arrived safely. We were lucky to be upgraded in three hotels; at the Dead Sea we got the Royal suite! This features 10 rooms including your own sauna, whirlpool bath and steam room.
We would like to let you know how much we, and the other guests enjoyed the simple hospitality and very good food at the Dana guesthouse. Our walk with the guide there was a real high spot of the trip; time to relax and examine the trees, birds and flowers.
The internal air transfer worked smoothly and Royal Jordanian is to be recommended.
We will certainly recommend your company and Jordan to our friends, you have so much to see, impressive scenery, good food and friendly people.

Our driver, Okba (apologies if I have spelt this incorrectly), was great and we enjoyed really his company.
If we had to do it again would love to spend another day in Feynan, one more in Wadi Rum (climb the Burdah Rock Bridge) and then another day of relaxation at the Dead Sea to finish eveything off. I am not sure what the mud there does for you but have been totally relaxed for over a week now when usually work does its best to ruin everything a couple of days post arrival back in HK.
Thought the Movenpick in Petra was a great hotel.

We would like to thank you for a lovely time in Jordan. Our accommodations were very good in every hotel. The daily excursions were interesting. We might have wanted a little longer time at a few sites, but for a first time visit it was satisfactory. We managed to see quite a bit in one week. Our driver, Muhammed, was excellent. We especially enjoyed Petra (evening candlelight walk and daytime tour), cooking at the Petra Kitchen, and also the Crusader castles and Roman ruins. The Dead Sea was another highlight.
