Enjoy this Amman City Tour and spend the day touring Amman city, the oldest continuously inhabited city in the world. See the ruins of Amman’s Islamic and Roman past, including the Roman theater and more.

Itinerary

Special Amman City Tour

In the morning you will be picked-up from Amman and proceed to enjoy a traditional Jordanian breakfast at one of the local restaurants, then visit Jebel al-Qala’a (the Citadel), with its remains of the Roman Temple of Hercules, Umayyad Palace and excellent views over downtown.  The National Archaeological Museum, home to ancient findings from the whole country, is located on the Citadel grounds.  Continue to the impressive Roman Theater, the largest in Jordan, with room for 6,000 spectators.  The small Folklore Museum and Museum of Popular Traditions are adjacent to the Theater  and a short walk through the souks and markets. Explore the city further and proceed to the Rainbow Street, one of Amman’s oldest suburbs with very interesting architecture from the 20th century. Enjoy a short walk in the street with an option to visit the small antique and local shops. Proceed to Jabal Al Weibdah for a walk through its alleys. Transfer back to your location.
