Itinerary

Amman/ Jerash/ Dead Sea (160 Km)

Breakfast. Depart Amman to visit the Greco-Roman City of Jerash, also known as the City of the thousand columns. Jerash showcases the grandeur of Imperial Rome (and is sometimes referred to as the Pompeii of the East). It is considered one of the largest, and most well preserved sites of Roman architecture in the World outside Italy. As the most pristine Decapolis City (meaning ten cities in Greek) in the modern world, Jerash’s  prosperity can be admired in the colonnaded main street and lovely Oval Piazza. .  Continue to Dead Sea. Overnight at hotel

Dead Sea/ Petra visit/ Amman (535 Km)

Breakfast. Depart the Dead Sea south to Petra for a full day visit of the city. We will start our journey to explore Petra, aptly described as the “rose-red city, half as old as time”. The ancient city was founded by the Nabateans 2000 years ago. Its massive architectural structure and its multicolored stones are an incredible attraction. The visit of the ancient Nabatean capital starts on horseback, followed by a walk through the Siq, a long narrow fissure between two overhanging cliffs. Towards the end of the Siq, you will be spellbound by Petra’s most famous monument; the Treasury. The tour then proceeds to gradually unfold the mysteries of the city. Return to Amman. (No accommodation booked).

  • Transfer as per above itinerary in a private modern air-conditioned large sized car with English speaking driver (car is not at disposal after the day tour ends, your driver is not a guide).
  • Car has complimentary Wi-Fi and mineral water, you will also be supplied with a local mobile phone.
  • Accommodation at Dead Sea Hotel on BB basis (Bed & Breakfast) .
  • Services of local guide in Jerash for two hours.
  • Optional short horse ride in Petra. (Please note that the horse handler expects a tip if you do take the horse ride)
  • Private tour of Petra with a local guide (tour length is 2 hours, and covers the lower parts of Petra).
  • Entrance fees to all sites as per the above itinerary.
